Application Process

Fill- in the application form and continue to the on-line payment of Deposit Application Fee (non-refundable) of $50 ($65 after May 5) in order to complete the application submission process. Admission and placment in Piano Institute and Intermediate or Advanced Orchestras is based on Repertoire list and prepared CD/DVD/stream or Faculty Recommendation and is determined by Conservatory Faculty. New students must submit a CD/DVD with any musical composition (scales, etudes, pieces, concerti). Returning students are suggested to send a recording CD/DVD. Teacher recommendations may be substituted for the CD/DVD. Materials will not be returned. Applications & audition recordings should be mailed (First Class Mail: Registered and Certified mail not accepted) to:

Upon acceptance, you will receive an information packet. Included in the package are required forms: Health/Medical, Repertoire, Arrival & Departure transportation needs, Housing, and Scholarship Application if requested. To hold your reservation, return promptly the completed forms with minimum $200 deposit. Balance can be paid monthly, but must be paid in full by June 10, 2010 DEADLINE. A final packet of information will be mailed in June.

DURANGO / FARMINGTON AREA COMMUTER STUDENTS
Commuter students participate in all activities offered at Conservatory Music in the Mountains. Daily schedules can be designed to accommodate commuter student needs. Area students may choose to stay on campus; room/board is not included in tuition and is additional. Commuters may purchase meals on campus. Details are available upon request. Area students must complete and submit application to New Conservatory of Dallas to participate.
Scholarships
(tuition only) for Durango/Farmington area students are available through the office of Music in the Mountains. Area students must call 970-385-6820 to request scholarship applications. Scholarship applications must be completed and returned to Music in the Mountains office by deadline, April 20, 2010.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE AWARDED UNLESS APPLICANT HAS APPLIED AND REGISTERED WITH NEW CONSERVATORY OF DALLAS TO ATTEND CONSERVATORY MUSIC IN THE MOUNTAINS.
