Dr. Misha Galaganov, Viola, has performed as a soloist in Russia, Israel, Czech Republic, Holland, Belgium, Austria, the USA, and Mexico. He has collaborated in solo and chamber music performances with such musicians as Martha Katz, Paul Katz, Donald Weilerstein, Ko Iwasaki, Eduard Brunner, Orlando Quartet, Grieg Trio and many others in Europe and the USA. His recitals have been described as “warm and expressive” (New York Music Review), “engaging” (Dallas Morning News), and “playing with panache” (Los Angeles Times). His solo performance with the TCU Orchestra at the 2002 Latin American Festival was named one of the ten best performances of the year in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by the Fort Worth Star Telegram.  
 Misha Galaganov is a member of Trio Con Brio, a unique group combining viola, clarinet (Gary Whitman), and piano (John Owings). The group has inspired such composers as Robert Garwell, Luis Jorge Gonzales, Richard Lavenda, and Eric Ewazen to write for them. Ewazen’s composition was premiered by Trio Con Brio in Carnegie Hall in March 2005.
Dr. Galaganov is Associate Professor of Viola at Texas Christian University. He has taught and given master classes in numerous festivals, including Orlando festival, EuroArts, Music in the Mountains, Mimir, Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute and others in Holland, Austria, Germany, Israel, and the USA.
In addition, he is co-founder and co-director of the Fort Worth Chamber Music Roundup festival, which gives amateur musicians the rare opportunity to rehearse and perform with top concert artists in the same ensembles. He is referenced in Who’s Who in Fine Arts on AcademicKeys.com and profiled in Marquis Who’s Who in America, 2005 and 2006.

Born and educated in Russia, Dr. Galaganov also holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Jerusalem Rubin Academy, an Artist Diploma Certificate from SMU in Dallas, and a Master of Music and DMA from Rice University in Houston. He has taken master classes with Tabea Zimmermann and Tokio Quartet, and his main teachers included Pavel Galaganov, Michael Kugel, Barbara Hustis, Martha Katz, and Wayne Brooks.
